The End of Girlfriends?…

On the May 7 episode of Girlfriends, Joan (played by Tracee Ellis Ross) will get a long awaited marriage proposal on what is being billed as a special one-hour finale.

The only problem is the production notes didn’t indicate specifically if the two-part show was a “series finale” or “season finale”… just “finale.” Even without one of its main draws, the character Toni Childs (played by Jill Marie Jones), Girlfriends’ still remains a ratings juggernaut. I don’t know why Jill Marie Jones (who reportedly left the show over a contract dispute) decided to leave. Whatever the problem was with her contract, I’m sure she was still getting paid more than she is for those whack ass Bailey’s Irish Cream commercials.

Vida Guerra recently responded to The Game’s childish accusations that he “fingered” her and remarks he made claiming that she’s a “video ho” in his song Wouldn’t Get Far, with a freestyle.

Vida may not be a “video ho,” but she damn sure isn’t a rapper. I mean she sounds like an intoxicated 5 year-old with special needs trying to read Dr. Suess’s One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.

Halle told Sunday magazine Parade that she tried to gas herself in her car over her stormy marriage to baseball star David Justice.

Russell Simmons’ HSAN and Reverend Al Sharpton are scheduled to join Czar Entertainment at a public grievance and rally concerning Tony Yayo’s alleged assault on Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond’s 14 year-old son. Cynthia Reed, the mother of James Rosemond, will also be in attendance in addition to community leaders, parents, students and religious leaders. According to reports, former Death Row Records mogul Marion “Suge” Knight was evicted from his luxury condominium on Wilshire Boulevard on Friday (Mar. 23). Witnesses said that police cars and a detective came to enforce the eviction and that all of the mogul’s possessions were loaded on to a truck in front of the building.
