50 Cent Covers XXL…

I have to give it to 50, between the Fat Joe, Rick Ross/Triple C jokes and now his encouragement of Beanie Sigel’s temper tantrum, he’s managed to keep himself in the spotlight. All of this despite the fact that his music has failed to live up to the expectations of critics and most of his fans. Well it appears as though 50’s latest target is Jay-Z. He’s been sending shots at Jay for a while, but in his most recent tirade at the end of Beanie’s latest track he goes all in callin’ Jay out…

…good luck with that 50. As much as I would love for Jay to respond…I have a feeling that he’s not even considering it. At this point, Jay has nothing to gain and definitely nothing to prove by beefing with any artist, including you. Ghost always goes in when talking about relationships…the original version of this song is one of my favorite Ghostface songs. Btw this is a bonus song off of Ghostdini Wizard Of Poetry In Emerald City which dropped on today….go and support real rap.

50 Cent – Dreamin’ (prod. Dr. Dre)
So I’m just gonna assume that it’s a wrap for 50’s rap career. I mean he’s dropped some really good singles over the past year (“Get It In”, “Get Up” & “Okay, You’re Right“) and yet they’ve failed to spark any interest in his eternally delayed album, Before I Self-Destruct. Then again if he drops anything remotely close to this again, he might as well retire.

Ummm I’ve said it before and I’m going to say it again…Lloyd’s last album was on point. That is all.

50 was recently interviewed by XXL for the Jan./Dec. issue. When asked why he never responded to Nas’ slight diss on “Queens Get the Money,” he went on to express his opinion on Nas’ current status in music:

“Man, Nas is cold as ice. Nas is the block of ice that sunk the Titanic… I didn’t even hear his record. I didn’t even hear what you talking about…I really don’t want to talk about Nas.”

“I think he’s at one of those points to where his career’s finished, to be honest. He’s had some great moments and made good music in the past, but he no longer has the interest of the general public or myself.”
